What is Injection Molded Shoes?
Injection Molded Shoes: Plastic is generally used for the soles of injection molded shoes. Plastic injection molding of shoes is a production method in which the rubber is injected directly from the barrel of the machine into the model vulcanized, fabric or leather upper bonded. Injection molding is done at a certain temperature and pressure to give the upper and sole a certain degree of flexibility and elasticity, and to make the two fused together, so called injection molded shoes. Leather shoes with injection molding process are also known as injection molded leather shoes.
Process
A molten material, normally a polymer, is forced into the cavity of a mold. This is managed because of the high speed and pressure making the material react and solidify directly in the mold. Normally, but depending on the material, a high mixing speed of the injection material results in a better grain structure and better physical properties. Normally the screw, controlling the mixing speed, in the injection process rotates at around 18000 rpm. When the material solidifies in the mold it takes the desired shape and is removed from the mold.
